With Slumdog Millionaire sweeping the OSCAR people are taking about the contribution of the people who got the award to the Indian Cinema and to India as a whole . However what we are missing out is that the movie is not a projection of an emerging , vibrant , developing India but is presenting the dark side of the society in a glamorous way .
No wonder Lagan missed out on the best foreign film award , the focus of Lagan was an India trying to make a mark of its own and the struggle and determination of a handful of people and the success they achieve out of there shear hardwork and determination .
Bottom line is A poor India still sells while hue and cry is raised against work getting done in Offshore centers of India where Bright , Intelligent Indians burn the midnight oil so that there bosses in US can enjoy there evening with Friends and Families .
